Monrovia, Liberia, April 20, 2026: The Liberia Maritime Authority (LiMA) has been awarded as the first top best performing public institution under the Government of Liberia’s flagship Performance Management and Compliance System (PMCS) for the year 2025.
The award was received by Mr. John F. Harvey, Deputy Commissioner for Domestic Vessel Registration and Safety on behalf of the Commissioner/CEO, Cllr. Neto Zarzar Lighe, Sr. Mr. Harvey was accompanied by Mr. Desire Satia, Deputy Chief Financial Officer and LiMA’s Focal Person of the PMCS.port.
This prestigious recognition underscores LiMA’s unwavering commitment to institutional excellence, accountability, and results-driven public service delivery. The award reflects the Authority’s consistent efforts in meeting and exceeding key performance targets, strengthening governance systems, and enhancing operational efficiency across its various departments.
Under the leadership of Commissioner/CEO Cllr. Neto Zarzar Lighe, Sr., LiMA has implemented strategic reforms aimed at improving transparency, boosting revenue generation, and aligning its operations with international maritime standards.
